How To Link Your PAN card With Aadhaar Card

The deadline for linking Permanent Account Number (PAN) to Aadhaar is just a couple of days away and if anyone fails to do it by Wednesday, March 31, 2021, then their PAN will become invalid. Not only this they may also be liable to pay a penalty of up to Rs 1,000. The government passed the Finance Bill 2021 in the Lok Sabha last week where it inserted a new section 234H under which a person shall be liable to pay a late fee of up to Rs 1,000 in case of non-linking of their PAN with Aadhaar.

Here’s how you can link your PAN with your Aadhaar:


1)Open your browser and head to Income Tax Department’s website –

2)Click on “Link Aadhaar” under the Quick Links section located on the left side of the page.

3)On the next page, you have to enter your PAN, Aadhaar Number, Name as per Aadhaar

4)Click the check box if you only have the year of birth in Aadhaar card and then click the check box for agreeing to validate your Aadhaar details with UIDAI

5)Enter the Captcha code shown in the image (Visually challenged users can request an OTP instead of the captcha image. They will be asked to enter their registered mobile number where the OTP will be sent)

6)Click on the “Link Aadhaar” tab below
